Get a transcript of any video you're watching with one click — no copying and pasting a link required.
Add to Chrome — Free →Getting a transcript on TranscriptAny has always started the same way: copy a video's link, come to the site, paste it in. That's fast, but it's still a few extra steps between watching a video and reading its transcript. The Chrome extension skips that entirely — it's now live on the Chrome Web Store.
Once installed, the extension sits in your browser toolbar. While you're watching a video on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or X, click the TranscriptAny icon — or right-click the video or its link — and TranscriptAny opens automatically with that video's URL already filled in and the transcript generating. No copying, no pasting, no typing anything by hand.
The extension is free to install directly from the Chrome Web Store:

The extension doesn't collect, store, or transmit any personal data. It reads the URL of the current tab or the link you click only at the moment you use it, and opens that as a link on transcriptany.com — functionally the same as clicking a bookmark. It doesn't run in the background and it doesn't track your browsing history. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
The extension itself is free to install. Transcription through it follows the same rules as using TranscriptAny directly — a limited number of free transcripts per day, or unlimited access on Pro.
Install the extension, open any supported video, and click the icon to see it work.
